Yale University Police Department Citizen's Police Academy
The Citizen's Police Academy will provide an inside look at the Yale Police Department offering an increased understanding of police operations and responsibilities; promoting a partnership between the police department and the community. The academy is scheduled for 6 sessions over a five week period. Sessions will include classroom training and hands-on activities. Completion of a criminal history check is a requirement. Participant Requirements:
• Interest in increasing knowledge and awareness of the Yale University Police Department
• No felony convictions
• No Class A or B misdemeanor convictions, no Perjury or False Statement
Applications must be submitted by Monday, October 5, 2009.
Registration is a two step process: 1. Initial registration is on-line at http://learn.caim.yale.edu/lcdb/
2. YPD will review applications and contact each applicant to arrange for a criminal history check.
Once all information is approved, an email confirmation will be sent by YPD verifying your placement in the program.
