New Haven, Connecticut is a small city with a world-class way of living. It has some of the world's greatest museums and attractions, terrific cuisine, and a strong community spirit. The histories of Yale University and the city of New Haven have been intertwined for over three hundred years. Although Yale is at the center of New Haven, it is not all that the city has to offer.

Founded in 1638 by English Puritans, the city is over 350 years old. Through the years, this beautiful spot on the Long Island Sound became an important commercial center between New York and Boston. It is now home to about 125,000 people, with another 500,000 in the surrounding area.
