After earning an MBA with distinction, from Quinnipiac College, Kathi began her career in training when she was offered the opportunity to revive a computer learning center operating in the red.  She took over the management of Boston Lanop, a satellite center of a national chain of computer certification centers, and re–engineered the policies, procedures and reporting methods inline with the corporate mission and objectives.

Based on the success of the Boston business model, Kathi was awarded the opportunity of opening a new Lanop center in Tampa and eventually rolled out the successful formula to ten of the Lanop centers.  Kathi maintained full responsibility for the Boston and Tampa centers in addition to providing management support for several west–coast centers. The hectic pace of hotels, airports and travel led Kathi to accept an offer to manage the Lanop center in CT.

Prior to entering the training industry, Kathi was self–employed as a manufacturers’ representative for various housewares and paint sundry manufacturers and later for stationery, gift and party goods suppliers.

Kathi received her B.F.A. in Art and Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, which prepared her for her first job out of college working in the jewelry district of Manhattan.  As the production manager for a jewelry designer, Kathi was responsible for developing the manufacturing process and timely delivery of porcelain jewelry inset with precious and semi–precious gemstones with gold and silver findings.

Kathi continues to live in the New Haven area and thoroughly enjoys being part of the Yale community.
